Since June 1, 2017, there have only been two full 24-hour days without any rain, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center informed LETA.

Out of the 48 days of summer so far, there have been 46 where rain was observed in at least one weather station.

However, in most cases rainfall was detected in different areas of the country at the time, thus on average each of the weather stations have detected 27 days of at least some rainfall in their areas.

Last summer was also rainy, and rainfall was detected in at least one weather station between June 23 to the last day of August.

The second part of this week is expected to remain relatively dry, with rainy weather once again in the forecast for next week, according to meteorologists.
