Estonia's Kontaveit wins again

Print versionAfter defeating the world's top ranked female tennis player on Wednesday, Estonia's Anett Kontaveit won also her next opponent at the Italian Open on Thursday, advancing to the quarter-final.
The 21-year-old Kontaveit (WTA 68) defeated Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (WTA 22) in the third round, winning the match 6-1, 6-1 and securing a place among the top eight.
Kontaveit on Wednesday defeated the WTA's No. 1 ranked player, Germany's Angelique Kerber, 6-4, 6-0.
