Estonia's Kontaveit defeats world 6th tennis player

Print versionEstonia's top tennis player Anett Kontaveit (WTA 73) on Wednesday defeated Spanish tennis player Garbine Muguruza (WTA 6) 2-6, 7-6 (1) and 6-1 in the second round of the Stuttgart Open, sports portal of the public broadcaster ERR reports.
The 21-year-old Kontaveit sealed her victory in less than two hours and 15 minutes.
In the quarter-final Kontaveit will go against either Maria Sharapova or Ekaterina Makarova. At the end of March Kontaveit defeated Makarova in the second round of the Miami Open.
