Bendika finishes 27th in women's pursuit at Biathlon World Championships

Print versionLatvia’s leading biathlete Baiba Bendika hit all 20 targets and finished 27th in the women’s pursuit competition at the Biathlon World Championships in Hochfilzen, Austria, on Sunday, reports LETA.
Bendika managed to climb to the 27th place in the pursuit after finishing only 50th in the sprint competition on Friday.
Laura Dahlmeier of Germany triumphed in the 10-kilometer race on Sunday. She has won two gold medals and three podiums at this year’s world championships already.
Darya Domracheva of Belarus won silver and Czech biathlete Gabriela Koukalova finished third to take bronze.
