Dukurs triumphs in WC stage at St Moritz

Despite being in second place after his first run, Latvia's Martis Dukurs had an excellent second run and triumphed in today's Skeleton World Cup stage at the St Moritz track in Switzerland, writes LETA.


M.Dukurs finished his two runs in 2:15.10, while second place finisher Sungbin Yun of South Korea finished 0.03 seconds behind the Latvian.


Russia's Nikita Tregubov finished in third place, 0.55 seconds behind Martins.


Meanwhile, Martins' brother Tomass finished in overall sixth place.


M.Dukurs remains the leader in the Skeleton WC standings at the moment with 1,036 points, followed by Yun with 1,003 points and Germany's Christopher Grotheer with 897 points.


T.Dukurs is currently in sixth place in the standings with 866 points.
