TTT Riga lose first-leg FIBA Eurocup playoff match

Print versionIn a first-leg final 16 playoff match in the FIBA Women's Eurocup tournament last night, Latvian basketball club TTT Riga lost to Hungarian basketball club Cegled EEK 66:73.
The Latvian club had a 13 point lead at one point in the match, but the Hungarian club took over in the second half to pull out the win.
Sydney Carter led the scoring for TTT Riga with 18 points, followed by Anda Eibele with 12 points and Ieva Krastina with nine points.
The second-leg match will be played in Riga on January 26. The winner on aggregate will advance to the tournament's next round.
TTT Riga finished in second place in Group C to advance to the knockout stage.
