Gudlevskis earns shut-out in NHL pre-season game

Print versionLatvian goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis earned a shut-out in an NHL pre-season game, helping his Tampa Bay Lightning defeat the Florida Panthers 2:0.
Gudlevskis saved 21 shots on goal in Thursday's game.
It is interesting to point out that Latvian youngster Rihards Bukarts is currently in the Panthers' pre-season squad, but did not play in the match.
Gudlevskis has been given the opportunity by the team's coaching staff to start in goal for the Lighting, as the team's other two goalies Ben Bishop and Andrei Vasilevski have been given some time off after the conclusion of the Hockey World Cup.
