Lithuania Square planned in Ukraine's capital

Print versionA Lithuania Square is planned in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, in a
10-are territory in central part of the city in front of the St. Sophia
Cathedral, reports LETA/BNS.
Lithuania's embassy has called a tender for
the best artistic idea, with all proposals to be assessed by Lithuanian
diplomats and representatives of Kiev local authorities.
According to the conditions, the area should
create conditions for communication and recreation, with availability of a
Wi-Fi connection.
The square is located next to the city's
central streets next to a number of state institutions, historic objects of
Kiev and Ukraine.
This will be the first square named after a
foreign country in central Kiev.
