In Kontinental Ice Hockey League action on Saturday, Latvian ice hockey club Riga Dinamo lost to Russian ice hockey club Moscow Spartak 3:4.

Dinamo took a 2:0 lead, and later went ahead 3:2, but the Russian club stormed back to pull out the win. Guntis Galvins, Mikelis Redlihs and Justin Shugg scored the goals for the Latvian club, which has opened the new season with three losses in a row.

Dinamo will now go on a break for next week's Olympic qualifiers, and will play their next regular season match on September 6 at Russian ice hockey club Ufa Salavat Yulaev.
