Swedish Ambassador to Latvia Henrik Landerholm is proud to be a part of Swedish Days in Jurmala. Ambassador H.Landerholm is going to meet with Jurmala City Council representatives, launch two Swedish exhibitions and will explore the city and its treasures.

H.Landerholm the last time was on an official visit in Jurmala when the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria was visiting. He also likes to visit the city whenever it is a good weather: “Jurmala is such a beautiful town. I believe that it is rich not only with its nature, but also with cultural traditions, therefore I am glad to bring a little bit of Sweden to this city.”

Ambassador H.Landerholm will be in Jurmala for two days on 26th and 28th May. He is planning to meet with municipality representatives, open exhibitions “Latvian and Swedish Nature” and “Facing the Climate”, visit Virotherapy Clinique and participate in the Resort Festival together with many other activities.

Swedish Days all together will last from 6th May until 30th June and everyone will have an opportunity to watch Swedish movies that will be shown in Kauguri and Jurmala’s cultural centres and visit exhibitions: “Swedish and Latvian Nature”, “Sweden like Inspiration”, “The Best of EWK” and “Facing the Climate”.

Next Swedish Days will take place in Daugavpils from 3rd to 5th June.

This year Sweden and Latvia are celebrating 25 years of re-established diplomatic relations. Sweden today is the biggest investor in Latvia, which indicates about successful cooperation and mutual interest.
