Three baby girls delivered at Riga Maternity Hospital last Saturday became the second set of triplets born in Latvia this year, the hospital’s representative Elza Lama told LETA.

The girls’ parents are Evita and Sergejs Osipovs, residents of the central Latvian town of Sigulda.

This year’s first set of triplets, three boys, were born on February 22 at Vidzeme Hospital in northern Latvia.

In 2015, Latvia welcomed three sets of triplets.
