Estonian Culture Minister Indrek Saar and secretary general of the Ministry of Culture Paavo Nogene are to start a week-long visit to China on Wednesday to advance cultural relations between the two countries, informs LETA/BNS.

The program, which introduces Estonian culture, modern art, music and culinary skills as well as the business and tourism fields, is organized by the Estonian embassy and celebrates the 25th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic relations. Bilateral meetings are to take place and an Estonian-Chinese film cooperation agreement is to be signed with the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of Culture said.

Nogene is to meet with the program director of the Hong Kong Arts Festival and members of the Hong Kong Culture and Heritage Commission.

In 2017 and 2018, different Estonian collectives are to take part in the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
