The world's top skeleton slider, Latvia's Martins Dukurs, was triumphant in the season's opening Skeleton World Cup stage on Saturday, informs LETA.
Meanwhile, his brother Tomass Dukurs finished in overall 5th place.
Russia's Alexander Tretiakov placed second, while another Russian, Nikita Tregubov, finished in third place.
M. Dukurs is the defending six-time Skeleton World Cup champion, while T. Dukurs has placed second in the World Cup standings the past three season in a row.
