The Latvian Basketball Association or LBA has once again selected Anete Jekabsone-Zogota Latvia's female Player of the Year, while Janis Strelnieks topped the list for the men, informs LETA.

Jekabsone-Zogota helped her Kursk ''Dynamo'' finish third in the Russian league last season, and made her return to the national team, scoring an average of 15.3 points per game at this year's European Championships.

Meanwhile, Latvian national team point-guard Janis Strelnieks has been named Latvian Basketballer of the Year, who currently plays for EuroLeague club Bamberg ''Brose Baskets'' (Germany).

Strelnieks also helped Latvia to an 8th place finish at this year's European Men's Basketball Championships (EuroBasket 2015), averaging 9.1 points and 5.4 assists per game.
