25.8C in southeast Latvia on September 24th – new record

The temperature record in Latvia for this date (set in 1989) was broken today, as the thermometer showed a 25.8C reading at 4 p.m., reports LETA.
The former record (23.9 degrees) was registered in south central Latvia at Dobele, but today, the high temp was registered in southeastern Latvia, in southern Latgale Province at Piedruja.
This is obviously a day to truly enjoy, taking into account that forecasters are saying that the warm air will be gone by tomorrow; seasonably cool weather is on the way.
