Latvia places fifth at European U-16 Women's Basketball Championship

The Latvian U-16 women's basketball team ended the European U-16 Women's Basketball Championship in Portugal in fifth place on August 23rd, informs LETA.
In the match for fifth place, the Latvian team beat France 46:45 (11:8, 18:13, 7:8, 10:16).
Janeta Rozentale was the highest scorer for Latvia with eleven points and Aleksa Gulbe scored ten.
The Latvian U-16 women's basketball team finished in 5th place at last year's European Championships as well.
The roster of the Latvian U-16 women's basketball team participating at this year's European Championships is as follows: Nikola Ozola, Amanda Svedenberga, Jete Nulle, Marianna Klavina, Kecija Keita Salcevica, Aleksa Gulbe, Mara Mote, Annija Poznaka, Luize Septe, Sabine Lipe, Katrina Karkle, Janeta Rozentale.
