Other events in Baltic States

On 31st July 2015 has finished the project announced by the SIF and EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism „Introduction of innovative interdisciplinary support programs to improve mental and physical health and reduce the risk of social exclusion for young people in municipality Lubana " (project number 2013.EEZ/PP/1/MIC/018/029) which was carried out by the non-governmental organization „Meirānieši. During this project the following activities were organized:

1.      In the frameworks of project a specialist with pedagogical education in municipality Lubana has acquired theoretical and practical training program “Children’s emotional education”, obtaining a certificate which allows leading classes for parents.

2.      The classes “Children’s emotional education” for pre-school age children’s parents were organized in Lubāna and Meirāni. 54 parents from municipality were involved.

3.      Physiotherapist and remedial gymnastics activities for children and adults were offered for the period of six months, with 12 local children and 23 adults participating.

4.      In the municipality Lubāna were organized different events for children, teenagers, families with children to promote a healthy lifestyle and active relaxation, for example, the Snow day, competition of orienteering, master classes in Nordic walk, and Families sports day, in which 195 people took part.

5.      Children together with parents had an opportunity to go to the sand therapist consultations. 46 children from municipality Lubāna used this opportunity, and eight classes were organized for kindergarten „Rūķīši” in Lubāna teachers to get acquainted with the specific of sand therapy.

6.      In practical art classes for children, teenagers and parents in which participants had an opportunity to learn creative things were involved 37 local children and 32 adults.

7.      15 children from municipality Lubāna had a chance to participate in a 7 days- long summer camp “Living in the countryside is exciting!” where they spend every day on a different local farm and get to know the work in the countryside and tried with some help.
