Samoilovs/Plavins triumph in group and will play in final 16 at World Beach Volleyball Championships

On June 30th 2015, Latvian beach volleyball pair Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Martins Plavins won their third group match at the World Beach Volleyball Championships, thus triumphing in their group with an undefeated record, informs LETA.
Samoilovs/Plavins defeated Chile's Esteban and Marco Grimalt 2-1 (19:21, 21:19, 15:7).
This means that the Latvian pair has advanced to the final 16 of the tournament as one of the top seeded pairs.
The final 16 round will begin today, with Samoilovs/Plavins taking on Canadian pair Josh Binstock and Sam Schachter, who finished in third place in their group.
Tonight's final 16 match will also be broadcast live on LTV7, and will start at 9:00 p.m. (Latvian time).
