''VEF Riga'' takes 3-2 lead in LBL finals

In the fifth game of the Latvian Basketball League finals last night, ''VEF Riga'' defeated ''Ventspils'' 75:63, reports LETA.
With the win, ''VEF Riga'' has taken a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Robert Lowery, Mareks Mejeris and Gerald Robinson scored 13 points a piece for ''VEF Riga'', while Jerai Grant led the way for ''Ventspils'' with 20 points.
The sixth game of the series will be played on Thursday at "Arena Riga".
As reported, these two teams have been battling it out in the LBL finals for the past four years, with "VEF Riga" winning three titles and "Ventspils" winning one – last season.
"Ventspils" is a 9-time LBL champion, while "VEF Riga" has won a total of three national titles.
