Wind topples trees on automobile and Narvesen kiosk in Riga

An automobile and a Narvesen kiosk were crushed as strong winds toppled trees in Riga overnight, the State Fire and Rescue Service informed LETA.
The firefighters received a total of nine calls about downed trees blocking roads.
A tree was uprooted on Gunara Astras Street (Purvciems suburb) crushing an automobile, as well as a "Narvesen" kiosk on Gobas Street (Bolderaja suburb).
Another tree fell on a trailer home in Koknese Region's Bebri County, trapping a 60-year-old man inside. Firefighters removed the tree and rescued the man.
