Dog specialists from the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service (VSAT) and their service Belgian shepherd dogs have become champions in all competitions of the third international service digs biathlon championship held in Latvia at the weekend.

Over 30 participants with their dogs from four countries – Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – participated in this competition last Saturday and Sunday, informs ELTA.

Lithuanian customs dog specialists with their service dogs constantly win various skills championships.

Currently, 170 service dogs help to guard the Lithuanian border. 60% of them are German shepherd dogs, 30% – Belgian shepherd dogs and about 10% – Labrador retrievers.
