Janis Smedins named World Beach Volleyball Tour's ''Best Hitter''

Latvian beach volleyball player and Olympic bronze medalist Janis Smedins has been named last season's World Beach Volleyball Tour's ''Best Hitter'', the International Volleyball Federation informs LETA.
In addition, Smedins together with his partner Aleksandrs Samoilovs have also been named ''Team of the Year''.
The Latvian duo has also become the first European pair to finish in the World Beach Volleyball rankings in first place for two years in a row.
