Latvia takes 1st and 2nd in two-man bob

In a Bobsleigh World Cup stage at the St Moritz track in Switzerland on Saturday, Latvia finishes in first and second place in the two-man competition, informs LETA.
The Latvia-1 bobsleigh team piloted by Oskars Melbardis won the stage, while the Latvia-3 bobsleigh team piloted by Ugis Zalims placed second, 0.17 seconds behind Melbardis.
The Switzerland-1 team piloted by Beat Hefti also finished 0.17 second behind Melbardis, and tied with Zalims.
The Latvian-2 two-man bobsleigh team piloted by Oskars Kibermanis finished in overall 11th place.
Melbardis, who has had a podium finish in a total of 4 World Cup stages this season, remains in first place in the two-man Bobsleigh World Cup standings at the moment with 1,054 points.
