Latvian culture program marking EU Presidency under way in Ireland

The exquisite textiles woven with amber thread by Iveta Vecenane are on display in Dublin (Motorhouse Gallery) through February 11, 2015, and this exhibit signals the opening of the Latvian culture program in Ireland, informs LETA.
The program, which will include such events as the Latvian Radio Choir live in concert at National Hall in Dublin May 3 and the Latvian Arts Festival April 30-May 3, is being organized as a sidelight to Latvia's special status this year – the presiding country in the European Union's Council.
