"British Week" – a series of events celebrating the traditions and history of Great Britain, the country's business practices, creative industries, economy, politics, culture and cuisine – will be held in Riga from November 3 to November 9, as the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia told LETA.

For seven days, various events will be held in several locations in Riga for local residents to better acquaint themselves with the cultural and historic heritage of Britain, its economic potential and business opportunities. Visitors at "British Week" will also have a chance to participate in discussion about politics and Europe's future, and savor traditional British cuisine, writes Nozare.lv.

As explained by the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, the objective of "British Week" is to offer a diverse line-up of events so that residents could learn as much as possible about Great Britain.

The goal is to present the smashing British arts, cuisine, business ideas and history, and to inform about the ways the traditional and modern is combined in Britain to make it one of the most attractive countries for business, art, fashion, high technology – in fact, any industry or sector.
