Nearly EUR 1,150 donated to Save the Children Lithuania so far

As outlets of Lithuania Post and PayPost have started collecting donations to the non-profit organisation Save the Children Lithuania, residents of the country so far have donated nearly LTL 4,000 (EUR 1,150), informs LETA/ELTA.

 

General Manager of Save the Children Lithuania Rasa Dicpetriene is pleased about the partnership with Lithuania Post and says that many children in Lithuania still need help. Around 700 children from asocially disadvantaged families every day attend 30 day-care centres, opened by Save the Children Lithuania. Children eat, do their homework and engage in after-class activities in the day centres.

 

The organisation also organises and supports various bullying prevention programmes, works with families in need of help.

 

Donations are accepted in all outlets of Lithuania Post and PayPost in cash, money transfers for donors are free of charge.
