Special Jury Prize for Latvian "Modris" at San Sebastian

Latvian director Juris Kursietis' debut drama "Modris" has been honored with a Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain, informs LETA.
The award is presented for the film's "stylistic achievement, and how the director connects loneliness, society, personal suffering and administrative repression."
San Sebastian is an "A" class festival of long standing; director Herz Frank /Latvia/ received the award for Best Documentary Film back in 1991.
After screenings in about five festivals prior, "Modris" will come to Latvia October 24.
