Film festival "Baltic Pearl" being held for the last time in Latvia

Organizers of the International Film Festival "Baltic Pearl" announced in a press release that this year will be the festival's farewell, informs LETA.
"The festival, that first appeared in 1993, will come to an end on September 21," says the press release.
The director of the festival – Asnate Vasiljeva, said that the reasons for the decision will be revealed only after this year's festival is over. She added that "money is not the issue." "Baltic Pearl" was not held last year due to lack of financing.
The festival's dates are September 12-21. The program is available at www.balticpearl.lv.
