Temperature in Latvia next week could beat all time record

The Meteorology Center says that the next heat wave - next Monday/Tuesday (August 4-5), could see temperatures nearing the record set in 1943 in southeastern Latvia - 36.4 degrees. The forecasters predict that on those days, it will be at least 34 degrees hot, informs LETA.
The current heat wave will simmer down just a bit at mid-week, and by Friday, it will be "just" 22-27 degrees warm.
The "cooling off" period will be short-lived, with the air readings Sunday soaring up to 33 degrees.
