"OneRepublic" will perform in Riga in November

The US pop-rock band "OneRepublic" will perform in the "Arena Riga" venue, on November 1, 2014, LETA was informed by Inese Keisa, PR specialist of agency Makroconcert.

 

She said that during the "Native" tour, "OneRepublic" will visit more than 50 biggest cities of the world. The band will bring sound and lighting equipment with them, giving an opportunity for the Latvian audience to experience a concert show of the highest caliber. Spectators will be able to hear songs like "Apologize", "Stop and Stare", "Good Life", "All the Right Moves", "If I Lose Myself", "Feel Again", "Counting Stars", and others.

 

"OneRepublic" was formed by schoolmates Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins in 2002. Other members are Drew Brown, Brent Kutzle and Eddie Fisher.

 

"OneRepublic" rose to fame in 2007 thanks to producer "Timbaland", who re-mixed and included the song "Apologize" in his album. The song was at the top of charts in many countries for weeks, and currently is ranked on "Billboard"'s 50 most popular songs of all time.

 

Till now "OneRepublic" has released three albums. The latest album "Native" was released in March, 2013, and has become the band's most successful. The singles "Counting Stars", "Feel Again" and "If I Lose Myself" have received Golden and Platinum certifications in many countries, and currently are in heavy rotation on radio stations and music television channels.

 

The group's leader Tedder, whilst taking part in the band, also writes and produces songs for others. He has collaborated with "Maroon 5", Adele, Ellie Goulding, Jennifer Lopez, "U2", "One Direction", Whitney Houston, "Backstreet Boys", James Blunt, and others, as a song author or a co-author. Tedder is the author of Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love", as well as Beyonce Knowles's "Halo". Adele's singles "Turning Tables" and "Rumor Has It" has brought a "Grammy" award for Tedder in 2012.

 

Tickets for the concert will go on sale April 25, in all "Bilesu serviss" booking offices and online.
