Other events in Baltic States

On 14-18 April, Exercise Amber Will 2014 is taking place in Lithuania, at the General Adolfas Ramanauskas Warfare Training Centre of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The exercise will pull together approximately 350 representatives of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and different state institutions to train planning procedures for defence operations, informs LETA/ELTA.

The exercise will put to test and certify readiness of the staff of the National Defence Volunteer Force to plan and implement defence operations and readiness of logistic units to plan provision of forces during such operations.

The units of the Lithuanian Armed Forces will train alongside representatives of the Public Security and State Border Defence Services, Fire and Rescue and Police Departments under the Ministry of the Interior, Prisons Department under the Ministry of Justice, Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance, and the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union.

On April 15, Media and Distinguished Visitors Day of the command post exercise Amber Will 214 will be held at the General Adolfas Ramanauskas Warfare Training Centre of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.

The event is expected to be attended by President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas, Chief of the Joint Staff Brigadier General Vilmantas Tamosaitis, and other guests.
