Other events in Baltic States

The executive committee of the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (LTOK) confirmed at its Thursday meeting the list of the Lithuanian Olympic team. The number of sportsmen to participate in the Olympic Games is to be a record one. Sixty-nine athletes (57 representatives of individual kinds of sports and 12 basketball players) and 87 coaches, medics, heads and judges will go to Beijing.

Lithuania in Beijing will be represented in 16 different sports by 43 men and 26 women.

There are 14 athletes in the list of reserve sportsmen. Three Lithuanian arbiters will judge in the Beijing Olympics that will take place on August 8-24: Sigita Mackoniene (artistic gymnastics), Zigmantas Raudonius (rowing) and Romualdas Brazauskas (basketball).
