This summer's Nationwide Song and Dance Festival will accommodate persons with mobility impairments, making the festival accessible for a wider audience, Citadele Bank board member Santa Purgaile told members of the press today.

A special platform will be erected at the Daugava Stadium for the first time, where persons in wheelchairs and their escorts will be able to view the festival's concerts.

Meanwhile, special transportation will be provided to the Mezaparks Open-Air stage at the Riga of Mezaparks for persons with mobility impairments.

As reported, this summer's XXV Nationwide Song and Dance Festival will be held throughout Riga from June 30 to July 7.

There will be a total of 62 concerts and events planned during the festival.

The festival will also feature many free concerts and events.
