According to leading international bookmakers, Latvia's top ranked tennis player Ernests Gulbis has a good chance of winning the French Open ''Grand Slam'' tennis tournament, informs LETA.

According to Triobe', Gulbis has a 50-to-1 chance of winning the French Open, which is the seventh best stake.

According to the betting agency, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are the favorites to win the tournament, followed by Roger Federer, Juan Martin del Potro, Andy Murray, David Ferrer and then Gulbis.

Bookies from the international betting agencies Bwin give Gulbis the 6th through 8th best chance of winning the tournament (51-to-1), while William Hill gives the Latvian the 5th to 6th best chance of winning the tournament, with odds of 25-to-1.

The season's second ''Grand Slam'' tournament in Paris is taking place from May 21 to June 9. The main draw is scheduled for Friday.

As reported, Gulbis is currently ranked 39th in the ATP tennis rankings.
