With 26 songs from as many countries in the final last night, Denmark emerged victorious at the 2013 "Eurovision" Contest in Malmo, Sweden, informs LETA.

"Only Teardrops", performed by Danish vocalist Emmelie de Forest, scored the most points in the voting, leaving Azerbaijan's "Hold Me" and Ukraine's "Gravity" second and third.

Latvia's entry "Here We Go", sung by the duo PeR, failed to make it to the final.

)Estonia got the 20th place at the Eurovision song contest on Saturday in Malmö, Sweden, a result that the signer Birgit Õigemeel said she was very much satisfied with, Public Broadcasting reports.

Estonia's song was called "Et uus saaks alguse" ("For the New Era to Start"), written by Mihkel Mattisen (music) and Silvia Soro (lyrics).

"We are actually very much satisfied with the 20th place now, I think it is not bad at all being between Bonnie Tyler and Cascada," Õigemeel said, adding that actually it was already a big gift that they got to the final concert.

"Naturally after we got to the finals, expectations started to grow and thus everyone started thinking that maybe we could get to the top ten but I think that 20 is a nice number. We are very much satisfied with it, we gave all we had and I hope Estonia is satisfied too," she said.

Lithuania was 22nd.
