Central Election Commission confirms final election results in Latvia

The Central Election Commission in Latvia confirmed the final results of the 12th Saeima elections on October 22nd, informs LETA.

Harmony has won the largest number of seats in the parliament – 24, Unity – 23, Greens and Farmers' Union – 21, All For Latvia-For Fatherland And Freedom/LNNK (VL-TB/LNNK) – seventeen, the Alliance of Regions of Latvia – eight, and For Latvia From The Heart – seven.

 

According to the Central Election Commission's data, 23% of voters voted for Harmony, 21.87% for Unity, 19.53% for the Union of Greens and Farmers, 16.61% for VL-TB/LNNK, 6.85% for the For Latvia From The Heart party, and 6.66% for the Alliance of Regions of Latvia.

 

The remaining parties failed to clear the 5% threshold. 1.58% of voters voted for Latvian Union of Russians, 1.18% – United for Latvia, 0.89% – For Latvia's Development, 0.7% – the New Conservative Party, 0.19% – Freedom. Free from Fear, Hate and Wrath, 0.17% – Growth, 0.11% – Sovereignty.

 

The following MPs have been elected to the 12th Saeima from Harmony: Janis Urbanovics, Andrejs Klementjevs, Boriss Cilevics, Sergejs Mirskis, Ivans Klementjevs, Arturs Rubiks, Sergejs Potapkins, Igors Pimenovs, Nikita Nikiforovs, Mihails Zemlinskis, Julija Stepanenko, Regina Locmele-Lunova, Sergejs Dolgopolovs, Janis Adamsons, Ivars Zarins, Vitalijs Orlovs, Zenta Tretjaka, Andrejs Elksnins, Ivans Ribakovs, Janis Tutins, Vladimirs Nikonovs, Marjana Ivanova-Jevsejeva, Raimonds Rubiks and Valerijs Agesins.

 

Unity will be represented by Edgars Rinkevics, Rihards Kozlovskis, Andrejs Judins, Ojars Eriks Kalnins, Aleksejs Loskutovs, Ilze Vinkele, Lolita Cigane, Laimdota Straujuma, Inesis Bokis, Karlis Sadurskis, Ainars Latkovskis, Janis Upenieks, Vilnis Kirsis, Romualds Razuks, Atis Lejins, Janis Reirs, Juris Sulcs, Dzintars Zakis, Aldis Adamovics, Anrijs Matiss, Inese Libina-Egnere, Janis Junkurs, Ints Dalderis.

 

MPs elected from the Greens/Farmers Union: Guntis Belevics, Maris Kucinskis, Karlis Serzants, Janis Duklavs, Ingmars Lidaka, Armands Krauze, Andris Silins, Artis Rasmanis, Ainars Mezulis, Augusts Brigmanis, Uldis Augulis, Raimonds Bergmanis, Andris Berzins, Raimonds Vejonis, Rihards Eigims, Janis Klauzs, Dana Reizniece-Ozola, Aija Barca, Janis Vucans, Gundars Daudze, Valdis Skujins.

 

VL-TB/LNNK will be represented by Dace Melbarde, Einars Cilinskis, Dzintars Rasnacs, Ilmars Latkovskis, Inguna Ribena, Raivis Dzintars, Janis Dombrava, Inara Murniece, Romans Naudins, Karlis Kreslins, Rihards Kols, Edvins Snore, Imants Paradnieks, Andris Buikis, Inese Laizane, Gaidis Berzins, Janina Kursite-Pakule.

 

Representing the Alliance of Regions will be MPs Arturs Kaimins, Martins Sics, Inga Bite, Martins Bondars, Janis Ruks, Dainis Liepins, Juris Vilums, Nellija Kleinberga.

And the following For Latvia From The Heart representatives have been elected to the 12th Saeima: Inguna Sudraba, Romans Mezeckis, Gunars Kutris, Arvids Platpers, Aivars Meija, Silvija Simfa, Ringolds Balodis.

 

A total of 913,491 citizens (58.85%) participated in the elections.

 

1,156 candidates, representing thirteen political parties and associations, participated in the 12th Saeima elections.

 

The first meeting of the 12th Saeima has been scheduled for November 4.

 

As reported, Harmony leader Nils Usakovs said that the party's representatives will file a claim to the Supreme Court already on Thursday or Friday in order to contest the 12th Saeima election results.
