Latvia's exports up in first 7 months, but reduced in Lithuania and Estonia

Latvia's exports in the first seven months of the year 2014 increased by one% when compared with the same period last year, which is the smallest increase in the EU, according to Eurostat. Meanwhile, Lithuania saw a two% reduction in exports, while Estonia registered a 5% reduction, writes LETA.
Like Latvia, Denmark, Austria, Italy and Portugal also registered 1% increases in exports in the first seven months.
According to seasonally unadjusted data, the steepest increase in export was recorded in Croatia – 10%, the Czech Republic – 9%, as well as Poland and Romania – 7% each.
The steepest decreases in export were registered in Malta – 27%, and Great Britain – by 12%.
Latvia's imports reduced three% in January-July, year-on-year.
The largest year-on-year decreases in import were recorded in Malta – 10%, as well as Latvia and Lithuania – 3%.
Meanwhile, the largest increase in imports was registered in Romania – by 8%, the Czech Republic – 7%, and Ireland – 7%.
