SEB projects Lithuania will have fastest growth in Baltics in 2015

SEB banka projects that Lithuania will have the fastest growth in the Baltics in 2015, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

Lithuania's GDP is expected to increase 2.7% this year, and 3.2% next year.

 

Latvia's GDP is expected to increase 2.5% this year, and 2.7% next year.



 

Meanwhile, according to SEB banka, Estonia will see 1.2% growth this year, and 1.3% growth next year.

 

In 2016, economic growth in Latvia is expected at 3.4%, in Estonia – three%, and in Lithuania – 4%.

 

Latvia is also expected to have the highest annual inflation in the Baltics next year – 2.1%. Meanwhile, inflation in Lithuania is expected at 0.7%, but in Estonia – 1.6%.

 

SEB banka points out that Eastern Europe's economies continue to show growth despite the problems in neighboring Russia and Ukraine, even though the armed conflict in Ukraine and Russia's economic troubles are influencing the uncertainty level in the region. SEB banka projects that the gradual economic recovery will continue in Poland, Central Europe and the Baltics.

 

SEB banka projects that Russia's economy will grow by 0.4%, but will reduce by 0.2% next year.

 

Meanwhile, Ukraine's GDP is expected to reduce by eight% this year, will have around zero growth next year, and is expected to return to growth (by 2%) in 2016.

 

SEB banka also points out that Poland's GDP is expected to increase by 2.7% this year, 3% next year, and 3.5% in 2016.
