Lithuania's real estate enterprises most productive in 2013

Statistics Lithuania has revised labour productivity in the national economy in 2013. Based on the latest data, the value added per hour actually worked in the whole economy amounted to, on average, LTL 45.94 (EUR 13.31) at current prices, which is by LTL 2 (EUR 0.58) more than in 2012, reports LETA/ELTA.

It is calculated that the gross value added per person employed totalled LTL 84,586 (EUR 24,498).

 

In 2013, the highest labour productivity per hour actually worked was recorded in real estate enterprises – LTL 90.9 (EUR 26.3). High labour productivity was also observed in enterprises engaged in finance and insurance – LTL 76.7 (EUR 22.2), information and communications – LTL 73.7 (EUR 21.3), industry – LTL 59.5 (EUR 17.2), manufacturing – 57.9 (EUR 16.8), retail trade, transportation, accommodation and food service LTL 54.3 (EUR 15.7).

 

The lowest labour productivity was recorded in agriculture, forestry and fishing enterprises – LTL 20.1 (EUR 5.8).

 

At constant prices, in 2013, compared to 2012, the gross value added per hour actually worked grew by 2.8%, per person employed – by 1.9%.
