Inflation in eurozone decreases to 0.3% in August

Print versionThe annual inflation in the eurozone has decreased to 0.3%, as compared to 0.4% in August 2014, the Statistical Office of the European Union, Eurostat announced on Tuesday, cites LETA.

Year-on-year energy prices in the eurozone reduced by 2.4% in September, and by 2% in August.
Meanwhile, prices of food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products increased by 0.2% in September, following a 0.3% reduction in August.
Prices of services increased by 1.1% in September and 1.3% in August.
