Google – the most popular brand in Latvia

Google is the most popular brand in Latvia in 2014, as a survey carried out by DDB Latvija in collaboration with GfK Custom Research Baltic, PHD Latvija, and magazine "Kapitals" indicates, cites LETA/Nozare.lv.

Google has been the most popular brand in Latvia for five consequent years already.

 

The second most popular brand in Latvia is Inbox.lv, followed by Rimi, Laima, Draugiem.lv, Maxima, Skype, Swedbank, Depo and Nokia.

 

Bread-maker Laci was recognized as the most unique brand of 2014, while Nike was the most qualitative brand. Meanwhile, "Supernetto" was recognized as the most beneficial brand.

 

Strategic director of DDB Edgars Petersons said that increasingly more people now choose to collect experience, not products. Thus, instead of popularizing self-glorification, brands must be capable of attracting their clients using appealing stories.

 

A total of 575 brands in 46 categories were examined during the survey. A total of 3,000 Baltic States' residents, aged between 15 and 74, participated in the survey.
