Latvia registers EU's seventh highest inflation in July

Annual inflation in Latvia was 0.6% this past July – the seventh highest across the European Union, according to the latest data from the EU's statistical office Eurostat, cites LETA.
The highest annual inflation was registered in Austria – 1.7%, Romania – 1.5%, and Luxembourg- 1.2%.
Meanwhile, deflation was registered in five countries: Bulgaria – 1.1%, Greece – by 0.8%, Portugal – by 0.7%, Spain – 0.4%, and Slovakia – by 0.2%.
In Lithuania, annual inflation reached 0.5% in July, but in Estonia it remained unchanged.
Annual inflation in the euro-zone was at 0.4% in July.
In the EU, annual inflation in July was at 0.6%.
In comparison with the previous month, inflation fell by 0.7% in the eurozone, and by 0.5% in the EU.
Latvia saw a 0.2% reduction in monthly inflation, Estonia also saw a 0.2% decrease, but in Lithuania it reduced by 0.5%.
