Estonia fell to 9th position in EU innovation spending top list

Print versionEstonia is on the 9th position in the European Union regarding innovation expenditure, as compared to the previous year, Estonia has fallen two places, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.
In Estonia, innovation spending level was 2.18% of the GDP in 2012, which means the 9th place among 28 EU member states.

A year earlier, the Estonian
innovation expenditures totalled 2.37% of GDP, which yielded the seventh place.
During the year, France and Belgium passed Estonia.

The top of the list still belongs to Finland (3.55%) and Sweden (3.41%).
