In 2013, Latvia registers smallest reduction in exports in EU

Latvia's exports in 2013 reduced by 1%, which is the smallest reduction in the EU, according to 'Eurostat'' The Czech Republic also registered a 1% reduction in exports, writes LETA.
According to seasonally unadjusted data, the steepest increase in export was recorded in Great Britain – 11%, followed by Romania – 10%, Cyprus – nine%, as well as Bulgaria and Lithuania – 7% each.
The steepest decreases in export were registered in Malta – 21%, Luxembourg – 13%, and Croatia – 7%.
Estonia's exports reduced 2%.
Latvia's imports reduced 1% in 2013. Austria, Belgium and Germany also recorded 1% reductions in imports in 2013.
Lithuania had the largest increase in import – 7%, followed by Slovakia and Denmark – 2% each.
Imports in Estonia increased 1%.
The largest decreases in import were recorded in Cyprus – 17%, Malta – 14%, and Great Britain – 8%.
