Tallinn gains over 10,000 new residents in 2013

Print versionAccording to the Population Registry data, the population of Estonia's capital Tallinn amounted to 430,594 as of February 1, 2014; in January the number of residents grew by 695, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

During the whole of last year, the number of residents of Tallinn grew by 10,069. In 2012, the number of residents of the city grew by 3,686.
Since January 1, 2012, the number of residents of Tallinn has incensed by 14,450 people or by nearly 3.5%. At the start of 2013, Tallinn had 419,830 residents and at the start of 2012, 416,144 residents.
According to Statistics Estonia, the estimated population number of Estonia as of 1 January 2014 was 1,311,870 by preliminary estimates. The population of Estonia as of 1 January 2013 was 1,320,174. The population of Estonia as of 1 January 2012 was 1,325,215.
