The number of active job-seekers in Estonia grew by 22% in CV-Online's database during 2008 to reach approximately 105,000 people, BBN/LETA quoted Postimees.

Job-seekers have become more active, Raimo Matvere, Marketing Manager of CV-Online said.

"More job-seekers started to register in the other half of October and we get really many CVs not, in the beginning on January. Even those people, who haven't renewed their CVs for years, do it now," Matvere said.

In December, CV-Online made a survey, which revealed that 45% of respondents look at job offers at least couple of times a week.

Most of the jobseekers, approximately 21-22%, wish to find a job in services sector. Still, companies mainly seek for specialists in telecommunications and energy sphere, as well as bookkeepers, financial managers, marketing managers, production managers and doctors. Thus it is a problem for people with lower qualification to get a job.

IT-specialists find job quickly fast – nearly third of job offers in CV-Online portal are to that sector. Companies also need sales persons and people with technical skills.
