Proportion of Internet users continues to increase in Latvia

The proportion of Internet users in Latvia has increased four percentage points since last spring, and 13 percentage points over the past three years, as research agency TNS marketing manager Laura Vendele informed Nozare.lv.

After a survey of Latvian residents aged 15 to 74, TNS has established that the number of Internet users has increased from 63% last spring to 67% this year, writes LETA.

 

According to TNS data, 70% or 1,212,000 residents of Latvia aged 15 to 74 have used the Internet over the past six months, which is four percentage points more than last spring.

 

Altogether, TNS interviewed more than 2100 residents of Latvia.

 

According to the results of the survey, Google.com remains the most popular Internet website with Latvian residents – on the average, 40% of Latvian residents visit the website every day. Inbox.com and Draugiem.lv are respectively visited by 30% and 28% of Latvia's residents every day.

 

Delfi is fourth with 23.9%, followed by Youtube.com with 20.3%, TVNet – 18.4%, SS.lv – 15.4%, Gmail.com – 14.8%, Apollo.lv – 11.8%, and Facebook.com – 11.4%.
