55,8% of Estonians pass the driver’s exam for B-category vehicles

Print versionThe percentage of persons passing the exams in the Motor Vehicle Registration Centre in Estonia has fallen with a stable pace in the past five years, having reached 70-60% by now.
According to the Motor Vehicle Registration Centre, the prospective drivers for D-category vehicles are best prepared for exams. Nearly half occasions of driving exams for B-category driver’s licences are failures – 55.8% of those taking the driving exams in the past six months pass, writes EPL Online.
Moped drivers are the worst prepared among those taking theory exams in the Motor Vehicle Registration Centre – only 38.3% pass. For B-category drivers, 68% pass the theory exams.
The number of exams for category B driver’s licences has increased fast in the past few years. Last year driving exams were taken on a total of nearly 10,000 occasions – 21.2% more than in 2006.
