Violation of traffic rules raises the biggest threat to Lithuanians. Residents also name juvenile delinquency and violence as the most important threats in the country, the survey conducted by public opinion and market research company Baltijos Tyrimai.

According to the results of the survey, at least one third (31%) of all Lithuanians think that violation of traffic rules raises very big threat in their place of residence.

Last year, such an opinion was expressed by 8% less Lithuanians. Compared to the previous year, 14% more respondents believe that such violations raise especially high threat in the entire Lithuania.

According to the data of the survey conducted on April 24-May 6, although traffic violations are considered to be raising the highest threat this year, even 54% of all grownup respondents (an increase of 5% y-o-y) also name juvenile delinquency as raising big threat to Lithuania.

Last year, robberies were named as raising threat most frequently. Juvenile delinquency and traffic violations were also mentioned quite frequently.

The survey conducted by Baltijos Tyrimai revealed that over half of all respondents over 18 years old (52%) feel safe.
