Estonia registers EU's largest increase in industrial production in July; Latvia second

Industrial production volume in Latvia this past July, compared to July of last year, has increased by 17.9%, which is the European Union's second largest increase, according to Eurostat data released on Tuesday. Estonia registered the largest increase in industrial production in July – 24.5%.

Industrial production volume in Lithuania increased by 4.7% in July.

 

Greece was the only country in the European Union to register a drop in industrial production in July – by 8.5%, writes LETA.

 

Overall, industrial production volume in the EU increased by 6.8% in July, but in the euro zone – by 7.1%.

 

On the other hand, when compared to June, industrial production volume in Latvia increased by 2.3% this past July, which was the fourth largest increase in the European Union.

 

Estonia registered the largest monthly increase in industrial production – by 5.2%, followed by Ireland – 3.2%, and Sweden – 2.6%.

 

The largest monthly reductions in industrial production were registered in Finland – by 3.6%, and Greece – by 2.5%.

 

Lithuania registered a 0.7 reduction in industrial production volume in July when compared to June.
